Excel 2007 : Pushing certain data to sheet2 from sheet1

I have two columns of data on sheet1 and I want to push rows of data (if they match my search parameters) to sheet 2.
Sheet 1
x a
y b
z c
x d
x e
y f

If I was searching on column 1 for instances of 'x' Sheet 2 should look like:
x a
x d
x e

Hi Spazzmon, welcome to the forum.

You don't have to move the data from one sheet to another to see smaller subsets of data, you can do it right there in your original sheet.

Turn on the Data > Filter > Autofilter.

Now you can use the dropdown in the first column and select "x" and all the matching rows will appear, the others hidden. You can switch to any other filter at any time and show all again. Never have to move anything.

Of course, once you've filtered by "x", you could highlight and copy everything you see to sheet1...only the visible rows will be copied. That's another benefit of the AutoFilter.

I tried that and it works fine. The problem that I have is more complicated though. I am attempting to set up a complex data report that sorts on multiple fields seperated by headers. I have attached an example. Sheet 1 is the raw data and Sheet 2 has the desired results. Please help!
