    Pivot Table Configuration

I am trying to create a Pivot table showing the average dollar sales of different products per month.
I have the data in a spreadsheet which is organised by date (displayed as dd/mm/yy), the price and product name.
I can create the pivot table, but am at a loss on how to organise it, and how to get the average.
    Help?

    Re: Pivot Table

Sounds to me as though you want the following setup

    Row Label = Product Name

    Data Field = Price / Sales ?
You can double click on Data Field and change analysis from SUM to AVERAGE

    Column Label = Date
you can GROUP the Date Field by Month & Year to get a Monthly Breakdown
