Excel 2007 : Excel conditional Summing

This is probably a simple solution but one that I have not been able to solve short of manually re-summing each column weekly. I am hoping somebody here can help.

I have attached a spreadsheet with a similar table to the one I am working on. In column G I want to show the sum of column D + E if column D is not equal to or greater than column E.
The problems start in row 31 where I want to show the sum of row 30 plus the value of column D, and if column D is less than column E then I need to subtract column D from E and sum something like (G30+D31 (and if D31 is less than E 31 then subtract D31 From E31) and add that to the sum. Each row in column G would have to do the same function.

Hopefully all that is clear enough.


I am hoping all that is possible and somebody can help get me started.

Could you possibly outline a few of the expected results (G31, G32 etc...) - I for one am not 100% sure I follow regards adjustment though others might - below is an interpretation:

What are the expected results in Column G? I can't see a logical path through the figures you have given.

Hopefully the updated spreadsheet will clarify a little more. I can get the results I need with many manual calculations but I end up changing them each month. There must be a better way.
