    Information missing in Auto Filter

I have a spread sheet with a list of product codes in one column. When i go to use the filter there are certain codes missing.

    e.g.

    BTP009
    BTP010
    BTP213
    BTP345

and in auto filter BTP213 doesnt show. I have had a look at how it is written and it looks exactly like the other codes. THis happens on a few different codes. I have checked the cell formatting and its the same and also if there are any spaces or anything and can't find anything.

Could it be 8000 lines is too much for it to handle? There are quite a lot of different codes as well?

Ah i just tried looking into this and apparently there is a limit of 1000 unique entries for Auto Filter. I will split the sheet up and see unless anyone knows any neat tricks?

Ok thanks both. Will give advanced filter a go. Never seen this problem before and just thought it was something with the way the data was entered.

    Cheers for your help

The display limitation is lessened in 2007 but a limit of 10,000 unique items still persists (AFAIK).
