    how to put the x behind ratios in excel?

    Hi

    I was working on some finance homework and was wondering how you can put the x behind ratios (or numbers in general). I am using excel 2003, but 2007 help would be fine also.

    Some of the example spreadsheets were using this technique and I wasn't able to reverse engineer what technique was used. They were not using a concatenate.

    For example:
    =sum(9/2) --> 4.5x

    Thanks!

    Right-click the cell and go to Format|Cells and see if they have formatted it as something like General"x" or similar.
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
