Conditional formatting using a trigger word

Is there a way to conditionally format a cell using a trigger/search word

e.g. look for 'apples in a work book and colour code any cell that has the word 'apples' in it green??

    Thanks

Is there some reason why you can't use CF to look at the cell value and apply the format?

What you ask can be done using VBA.

If you have more than three conditions and need a VBA solution then take a look at adapting code from this thread.
