    Capturing Data

    Dear All,

    Please find the attached file.
    Book 2 there is 4 columns ie,reg no,fleet no,product & model and on book 1 there is fleet no,reg no and model and what i need is to capture fleet no & model from Book 1.

    See INDEX/MATCH functions in XL Help, eg based on your sample file:

    Book2!B2: =INDEX(Book1!$A$5:$A$20,MATCH($A2,Book1!$B$5:$B$20,0))
    copied down

    same applied to Column D but change INDEX range from Book!A5:A20 to Book1!D5:D20 given you wish to return Model rather than Fleet.
