Validation To Create Multiple Dependent Lists

I am making a document for my cabinet shop.
I have drop down lists so employees can select the cabinet wood (Cell A1), then the document using Indirect function only shows the door styles available in that wood type in the next drop down list (Cell A2).
Now my problem is I want to use another indirect function to show only the finishes (colors) available in that wood type.
How can I "link" my finishes (cell A3) to the wood type (Cell A1) when the door styles (Cell A2) is already linked to them?

    Clear like mud!
    Thanks!

use the same principle for the next validation, i.e. create range names that are the same as the door styles and list the finishes applicable to that door style in the named range, then use indirect for the door style to get the list of finishes.

If that does not help, post a (small) sample workbook.

Re: Validation To Create Multiple Dependent Lists

You can use a "trick" in the validation list. Let's say the "wood" that was chosen is Maple, you most likely have a named range called MAPLE for the door styles?

Instead, name the range MapleDoors and use an indirect formula of:
    =INDIRECT(A1 & "Doors")

Then do the same thing for MapleFinishes:
    =INDIRECT(A1 & "Finishes")
