Making IF= Formulation come back as N/A

I have just started learning to use more complicated formulas in excel.

I am trying to create an IF formula so when i try to get the percentage change if lets say the 2008 number was 0 and the 2009 number increased by 9 than i would get an error so i want the if formula to come back as n/a.

sorry i am a complete noob at this and would appreciate the help.

here i have attached a sample for a better understanding.

Can you give an example of where you would see n/a in your sample sheet...

or is the formula there correct and you want to see "n/a" instead of #Div/0?

were is says "#Div/0?" is where i need to add the formula. right now it is incorrect if it says #Div/0? . the other ones are correct since they have a percentage.

Still not too sure.. but maybe?

    =IF(E4=0,"n/a",(N4-E4)/E4) copied across?
