    Data from multiple arrays

Using 3 reference cells to determine which table, row, column; I need to return a single value from 9 different arrays/tables. Can this be done? Am I looking at the wrong Function? Attached is an example.

(I marked solved to early. The solution worked fine for the example I gave, but not for my actual problem. In my example, the rows and columns are text. What I need is a solution that will work, if numbers replaced the text. The rows will be labeled: 1,3,5,10.....and the columns 3/4, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 2..... an exact match will be needed for the column and closest match for the row.)

    You would use MATCH.

Re: (Solved) Need help pulling data from multiple arrays

Inkling, on an aside I note you tried to mark as Solved, the process for doing so is outlined below:

    Go to the first post
    Click edit
    Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
    Change to Solved
    Click Save

    Re: Data from multiple arrays

    2 points

1 - if your question changes from the original ask it in a latter post, please don't amend the original post as this runs the risk of completely devaluing the entire thread (all subsequent posts are at risk of becoming incomprehensible in view of revision)

2 - post a sample which reflects your real set-up

It's a well known point on these boards but dumbing down (simplifying) or asking a question based on parameters that do not reflect your real workbook is rarely helpful to anyone involved.

There are, generally speaking, a multitude of ways to skin most XL cats - as such the solutions given depend largely on data types and specifics thus if your sample file / initial question reflect the reality of neither then it is quite probable that the solutions provided will fail to work when you head back to your real file.
