Excel 2007 equivalent to Google S/Sheet Filter() function

    Hi,

Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction on this one..

I am porting a pretty large Google Spreadsheet app over to Excel 2007 for reasons too numerous to go into (Google collaboration alone just not worth it!!).

With Google I was able to use a single formula placed in a single cell (e.g. below) to generate a filtered version of an expansive table on a new sheet.

However, the Filter() function is not available in XL2007.

Can anybody perhaps suggest an alternative function / most expedient workaround to achieve the same functionality in the Excel version?

    Many thanks in advance.
    Orson.

How about using the Autofilter and select C2 in column P and "Update Pending / Scoring Error" in column X?

Place the cursor in your data table and hit ALT - F - F to quickly apply the autofilter functionality to the table. You will see the column title gains a drop down arrow. Click on that and select which values you'd like to filter by.

    Teylyn,

Belated thanks for the advice, I have since gone off and re-acquainted myself with the AdvancedFilter / VBA functionality and am now back on track.

Wanted the output on a new sheet so Autofilter would not have been a runner anyway I think.

    Thanks again
    Orson.

May I ask what your solution was? I have the same question.
    Cheers
