    Proper Filtering in Pivot Tables

    Hi,

(the question is somewhat difficult to explain for me, so my apologies if it doesnt make sense)

In a standard excel sheet, when you do regular filtering and specify something in say column A, then the filter's drop-down menu in column B shows only the entities that match with your selection from column A.

Is it possible to do exactly the same thing in a Pivot table?
Assume the same data from that sheet is carried to a pivot table and Columns A & B are specified as "Report Filters". Under normal circumstances, even if I make a selection in my Report Filter of Column A, the Report Filter of Column B's drop-down menu shows every entity in column B (whereas I only want it to show the entities that match with my selection in column A)
Is there any way to do this?

Thanks in advance for any help...

The lists are not dependent no.

See this old-er thread which was along similar lines - and possible workaround: http://www.excelforum.com/excel-2007...rill-down.html
