Hide range of cells based on other cell value?

I need to hide a range of cells (I2-N27) if E9 is 1, and display the same range of cells if E9 is 2. Can this be done?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you mean hide as in show blanks for these cells or hide as in these cells do not appear at all? If the former, that can be done with conditional formatting and changing the font to the background color. If the latter, unfortunately, so far as I know at least, you can only hide entire rows or entire columns.
