    Holding values

I was wondering if there is a formula to hold values...essentially on the attached spreadsheet I need max values for column H to be displayed in the tables on the right depending on the values of Tn and funny looking E. I know I can do an
    =max(H:H)
but is there a way to do an if statement like
    =if(tn=2,max(H:H))
that will hold the max value once the value of Tn is changed??

    Re: Holding values

    Excel is dynamic by default.

A macro could do the trick. Want that?

    Re: Holding values

While the macro above works perfectly, a formula based approach is possible if you allow circular reference( Tools > Options > Calculation > check "Iteration", set maximum iterations to 1). The use of a scrollbar to set the Tn value in cel E4 shows additional maxima for Tn values in between 2 and 5, 5 and 7, etc.
