    Non-maximized window problem

I have a problem with the window in which my workbook is displayed. I don't know how it got this way, but the workbook window is displayed within the Excel window, and it doesn't have the normal buttons to maximize, close, etc. See the attached screenshot. If I right-click on the blue header bar, I have the options to arrange or zoom, but neither of those options let me maximize the workbook window within the Excel window. I can't even move this workbook window around within the Excel window. All other operation within the workbook seems to be normal, though.

Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks.

    Hi natebob.

any macros in your setup? What happens if you close Excel and then open the file again?

Power of Google - maybe this is useful

    Missing Buttons
If the menu bar is available, but the Minimize Window, Restore Window, and Close Window buttons are missing, click View, and then click Full Screen.

or try window /arrange and select a different option tiled/horizontal or what ever ,making sure workbook is not protected first.

Found the problem, the workbook was protected. Just turned the protection off and it fixed the issue. Thanks for all the prompt help.
