Question Image File and a Link

I am running Windows XP Pro using MS Excel 2007. I have a spreadsheet that has approximately 100 columns with all sorts of data. With the help of some sharp guys in this newsgroup, I have a pretty nice form. I now can select a project (from the same column) and instead of seeing 100 columns of data, I can see only those columns I'm interested in for a single row.

One of my columns has an integer number (5 or 6 digits) that is unique in the column. When I select a project name that appears in my form control, in another location on the form this unique number appears along with the remainder of data I'm interested in that is associated with the row in different places throughout the form. What I would like to do using a Merged group of cells, be able to import a photograph automatically. Each unique number has a folder that has the same number as a folder name. So a cell value of 121500 would have a corresponding folder named 121500. Inside that folder I would like to select the photograph with the newest date stamp on it. This would appear in my large merged cell. How can I do this without the use of VBA or programming if possible?

Not sure this is what you want, but try using a comment box for the picture.

First, add a comment to the cell but remove any text.
Next, right click the border of the comment and select Format Comment.
Pick the Color and Lines Tab
From the drop down box labeled Color select Fill Effects
Select the Picture Tab then browse for the desired picture.
Double click on your pretty picture and resize as needed.

Only other option I can think of is the =HYPERLINK() function.
