make fonts bigger in data validation\list box

I need help on making the fonts bigger so I can see those characters when I click on a down arrow. I created a list and use the feature call 'Data Validation' in excel so I can have the list, my problem now is everytime I click on the arrow, the list or the characters are too small. Is there a way of making them bigger? thank you. please help.

Data validation is size 10 (I think it's 10), regardless of the size of your cell font. So, you can imagine that a spreadsheet zoomed out to 20% zoom, but with cell fonts set to 24pt might look the same as a sheet at 100% zoom with cells font-sized 10. (I hope this makes sense). In the first situation, data validation will look tiny as it will display at size 10 - size 10 at 20% zoom = v. small.

    Practical connotation, you need to:
    • Decrease the size of your cell fonts (I would suggest to size 10)
    • Resize your rows & columns to fit
    • Zoom in (to 100% if possible)

In future, I would recommend using size 10 fonts wherever possible.

    Hi Cheeky Charlie,

Thanks for your quick and informative response. Your suggestion is fine and it worked. I had to zoomed it out to make it more visible. I just hope that there would be another way such as VBAing it or code that make it happen. Well, as I said am I using your adviced and for now it's helping me a lot. Thank you again.
