Pop-Up Notification IF Condition is True.

I have a row of values TRUE and FALSE from a IF statement..

If one or more are true can i get a notification to come up saying

"Rents are Due" Press ok to continue..

You could do this, but only using VBA - as you are posting in the General Forum, I assume that's not what you're after ... ?

You could use conditional formatting. Let's say you're using range A1:H1. Select A1, go to Format > Conditional Formatting and from the dropdown select Formula Is and copy in this formula :

    =COUNTIF($A$1:$H$1,"TRUE")>COUNTIF($A$1:$H$1,"FALSE")

and select a colour. Now copy the formatting acrossd to H1, then whenever the range A1:H1 contains more TRUEs than FALSEs, the whole range will change colour - just as eye catching as a MsgBox.

    Hi there,

If you Right click on the sheet name and choose 'View Code' then paste this in:

...then you'll a get pop up as desired. Change the range to whatever you need.

The only problem with this is that it will continue to do this until you change it. A slightly less annoying way would be to go back into the VBA editor (Alt + F11), then Insert > Module and paste in:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
With this version you have to run the macro, but with the same result and you don't get annoyed by the continual pop up message box.

    HTH,

Hmmm - I've just changed the code to your range

...and it all works fine. Is your IF formula literally returning TRUE / FALSE values?

Hmmm. It should work fine then. Do you have your macros enables? (Tools > Macros > Security)

Weird. Should work fine - maybe upload a sample of the worksheet so we can take a look Unfortunately, I'm leaving work now so can't help until tomorrow. Maybe someone else can take a look - otherwise I'll take a look tomorrow
