Double lookup to fill an array

Hi, I'm trying to find a solution to my problem, in fact I have worked on this before, but I don't remember how to solve it.

Basically I want to fill an array, looking up information on two columns..and when there is a match in both, I need a 1 to display, and a 0 otherwise.

There is an example attached, It's far more clear than any explanation.

I would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Double lookup to fill an array

    Try:

    =--ISNUMBER(MATCH(1,INDEX(($A26=$A$2:$A$5)*(B$25=$B$2:$B$5),0),0))

    copied down and across..

Note: You have Brazil spelled 2 different ways.. make them consistent.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Re: Double lookup to fill an array

    Hi,

I'm assuming the 1's in the result come from the C2:C5 values.

In a helper cell D2 and copied to D5

In B14 and copied across and down your table.
