    Cell Color Alert by Date

Ok guys, I am wanting a formula to change the cell color when a predetermined day of the month has passed. For example, if I have cell Q40 with a "6" in it. I want B40 to change to a red color once it is the 7th of the month. Keep in mind that B40 is for the month of January, C40 is February, so on until M40 is December. I would need a code for each month, so that the cells that fall in months before the one we are in do not turn red. Also, I already have a SUMIF code in each cell. How would I combine it with the SUMIF function. This is an example of the SUMIF function I copied from one of the cells: =SUMIF(January!$B$9:$B$216,A40,January!$G$9:G$216)

I know there are a number of "Alert" threads in the forum, however I can't find one pertaining to my situation.

Thanks Again in advance for all your help! I have almost completed an extremely helpful tool because of the help I have recieved from this forum!

You need to use Conditional Formatting
It would be best if you could upload a sample workbook. It is not clear from your post if you are using valid dates or just text for months and a numeric entry for a day.

Based on your sample file if you highlight range B10:M13 you can apply the following Conditional Formula rule:
