    Cross reference two ranges

I have two lists of names, One is quite long (1130 entries) and the other is shorter (around 250 entries). I know that the short list contains names already on the long list. Is there a formula that I can use to sniff out the names that are repeated on the short list?

    Re: Cross reference two ranges

    =Isnumber(Match(B1,A:A,0))

where column A contains long list and B1 is first name in short list to check.

This returns TRUE if name occurs in long list.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
