    Highlight multiple rows

I have an excel spreadsheet that has 50 lines. I have a column with an 'if/then' statement to give true cells = 1, while false =0. I want to highlight the entire row (within the table) if the statement is true (that cell equaling 1). I can do this with conditional formatting, formula is...etc., but is there a way to speed this up so I dont have to do each line individually? (for my conditional formatting, the formula is =and(cell#=1) pattern yellow. Thanks for any help in advance! Nathan

Re: How do I highlight multiple rows based on IF/THEN statement?

You can apply the Conditional Formatting to all of the cells in the table at once.

Assuming the table is in the range A1:D50 and column-D holds the true/false result.

    1. Select all the cells in the table
    2. Menu > Format > Conditional Formatting
    3. Use formula option
    4. Formula: =$D1=1

Excel will apply the CF to all of the cells referencing only the value in column-D for each row in the table.

Re: How do I highlight multiple rows based on IF/THEN statement?

Palmetto - I appreciate the response, however, It seems to not be working - The function seems easy enough and makes sense, but when I do that, it will only highlight the last "True" statement in the table (like, say 45 out of the 50) although I know that the other statements are true as well. I know my IF/THEN statements are correct as well (theyre very simple, If(cell#>cell#)1,0) Also, it will allow me to CF on an individual row by individual row basis - but thats all. Any ideas? By the way - where is the link for a good reply? I could not locate. Thanks! Nathan
