Sorting but take the row with it

Hey all,

I know how to sort a column so it goes highest number to lowest number the problem is it doesn't take the rest of its row with it.

How do you do this, so when a cell is sorted in order, it takes the rest of the data which goes with it into its new postion in the colums.

Help would be most appreciated.

If you select only one cell within the range (not a range) then sort, it should work...

If not, then select the whole range and then sort.

Thanks for the reply.

That does work but the problem is theres other numbers within the row of data too so it won't know which colum to sort if i select the whole range, as theres quite a few colums also containing numbers.

How would I single out this one column?

When you select the range go to Data|Sort there you should be able to select the column you want to sort and whether ascending of descending.
