addressing a cell to change color in relation to other cell information.

Hello everyone. I have a Formula question which I can't seem to figure out. I want to set a cell so that when two other cells are above 80 then the cell is green. If one of the two cells is bellow 80, the cell turns to yellow and if both are bellow 80 then the cell is yellow. Is there someone who can assist me with this please?

    Thank you!

Re: Forumla for addressing a cell to change color in relation to other cell informati

    Hi AlexSolon,

    Welcome to the forum!

For this example, assume the colour changing cell is A1, and the cells meant to exceed 80 are B1 and C1.

    1. Select cell A1.

    2. Go to Conditional Formatting at pulldown menu: "Format > Conditional Formatting..."

    3. Use "Formula Is" and set this as the formula:

    4. Click the "Format..." button and select a green background.

    5. Click "OK" and click "OK" again.

    6. Change the normal background colour of A1 to yellow.

    Cheers,
