Excel 2007 : how can i select multiple rows ?

hai,
i want to select a huge number of rows say some 3000 rows. it is tedious to press shift and drag. kindly instruct any other method so that i can use some formula or like to select multiple rows easily . i am using 2007 version. thanks.
