    How to refresh a list

    Hi

I've created a list, for example, range C4 - C20 and called the range gymnastName.

I've then used the list else where - data validation =gymnastName. Which then gives me the drop down menu list with all my names.

The problem is, I need to be able to add names, and I'd like my drop down list to show the updated names within the list. Right now, even if I add a row within the range, the list does not show the new names.

    How would I do this???

    Many thanks
    Richard

Make gymnastName a dynamic range. See http://www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html, or post a workbook if you need specific instructions.

I've converted my range into a table - so how do I now make a list from the table?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

This link refers to 2003 but instead of Insert > Name > Define on 2007 go to Formulas tab > Define Name then insert the formula
