    Secondary axis alignment

    HI EVERYONE!

I need your help. Sorry for my english.

I have XY graph with three lines. The 3rd line is on the 2ndary axis. How can i allign the primary and secondary axis, so they would both have the same y=0. I tried with max, min values, the gap, but nothing. Please help.

P.s. the green line is on 2ndary axis, and it is supposed to cross the x axis where the red is at maximum, because so are the calculations.

Thank you guys for all your replies.
    p.

    Hi primozek

What you need is ghost or dummy coordinates that are ploted clear
these will set the secondary axis the same as the first
If the solution helped please donate to RSPCA

    Re: Secondary axis alignment

    ok
havent gotten use to 2007 charts
but what yo need to do in find the max and min values for the three sets data for x and y
Add these values to both values as seperate plots then select the lines and change the colour to no colour
what it will do is set the max and min value as the same for each axis and align the scales

    hope that makes sense

the chart in the attachment dosent have any values so I could set it up

    Re: Secondary axis alignment

Dude having a look you dont need ghost values

If both mimimun and Maximum values of both axis are set to the sat +or - value the axis will align

eg max Y Axis value 0.55 then other has to be 0.0055
Min Y Axis value -0.55 and the other -.0055

or The ratio set between the two has to be the same

eg max Y Axis value 0.5 then other has to be 0.004
Min Y Axis value -0.25 and the other -.002

    Hope that explans it

In question.xlsx, you still have the green series linked to another sheet, which I can't see.
Maybe the values are coming from a place you don't expect.

Try recreating this series again. (looks like a horizontal line since the values are so small)

    Re: Secondary axis alignment

    Hi!

I wrote a macro in Visual Basic, as Andy Pope suggested, and it worked. Of course, one of the possibilities is the ratio between max and min on both axis.

Now, next question is: How to print this graph, so it stays as clear as it is now. If i move it to Word, the picture becomes blurry. But i need it in Word, because of the page numbering.

    Thanks.

    Andy, who da man?
