    Excel Randomly Inserting Zeros

We have a spreadsheet where random zeros were inserted into the existing numbers in the cells. Not all of the cells were affected. For example, we were supposed to have the number 171 and it was somehow changed to 1701. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Unfortunately I cannot upload it because the document contains sensitive information.

May or may not be related: are you running macros?

I had this bizarre situation once where I was using VBA to find and replace on a sheet.
If my last find on the spreadsheet was across the whole workbook, then when I ran the macro, it would replace on the entire workbook, even though I specified in the macro to find/replace in the sheet.
