Lock Columns for uses not to edit

    Hi,

I would like to lock columns B, Y, T in a worksheet and then users can edit other part of workbook freely. I have done the locking the specified columns by protecting the sheet but my question here is i am not able to delete the rows/clear the contents etc even though i checked the deleting rows, clear contents check box under Tools --> Protect Sheet option.

    Please HELP ASAP.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE.

    Suri

If you have locked whole columns, you can't delete a row because any row will include cells in the locked columns. The same applies to clearing the contents - you can only do this for cells outside the locked columns.
