Newbie question: change column heading back to letter

Sorry folks but I'm sure this is an easy answer that I haven't been able to figure out (and not able to find it using a search).

Somehow I changed my column heading so it lists it as a number. So before the first cell was listed as A1. Now it is listed as R1C1. I need to change this back since many of the other functions I want to use (like vlookup) use the letter and number combo and I'd confuse myself trying to change it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Click the main Excel button top left corner to select Excel Options
    Under Excel Options select Formulas
Under Working with Formulas ensure the box labelled "R1C1 reference style" is blank

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
