Data Validation Error

good morning

i have problem with data validation in ms excel

i created drop down list in excel when iam going to edit the text i am getting a error message "the value you enetered in not valid " and "the user restricted that u cant enter the value"

please help me out to solve these problem

Hi,

Have you looked at the Settings tab in the Data Validation menu to see what the restrictions are?

You will have to remove Data Validation from the cell for unrestricted entries.
Select the cell with the Data Validation, then . . .

In Excel 2000-2003
In the top men > Data > Validation > Settings tab > Allow: Any value

In Excel 2007
In the Ribbon Menu > Data Tab > Data Validation > Settings Tab > Allow: Any value
