    Help with Bar graph

    hey .. i am doing a project, where i have values of 10 years data..

    their targets and actual...now i want to make a bar graph...in such a way that the target and actual of all 10 years is shown...

    can some one do it..
    of these..atleast
    1. consumer price index
    2. real gdp
    3. budgetory deficit..

    I've made a copy of your sheet, unmerged the cells and sorted the data left to right to separate the targets and actuals. There is now a bar chart for the GDP. You can copy this chart and change the source data for the other charts.

    The way your data is laid out you will have a hard time putting such a graph together. The chart series can be picked from individual non-contiguous cells, but the X axis title will be a problem with the merged cells. Therefore, you need to create the labels for the x axis in a different range and refer to that range in the series definition. Study the series definitions for the chart I included on the first sheet.

    Alternatively, the chart will be a breeze if you create a contiguous table for it, like the example on the attached file, sheet2
