Missing Chart When Selecting "As new sheet"

    Missing Chart When Selecting "As new sheet"

    I am using Excel 2003. When I create very simple charts using the Chart Wizard (line, bar, doesn't matter which one same problem) and I select the location "As new sheet" in step 4 the chart comes up blank. If I select "As object in" the chart is visible. If I open up existing spreadsheets where the charts once existed, the charts are no longer visible. All I have is a small white blank sheet with a grey colored surrounding, but nothing is shown and I cannot double click the grey box.

    Any idea what the heck is going on?

    I attached 2 images of an example – with chart and without chart.

    The example I created can be very easy and straight forward - nothing complicated. For example, the 1st column could be the months of the year and the 2nd column could be number of days in the month. When I select Chart Wizard and go through the procedures, and only when selecting "As new sheet" the chart is completely missing. The only thing showing is a white box with a gray colored surrounding. If I pick "As object in" the chart shows up on the worksheet.

    I appreciate any help. My charts for work are missing…..need it bad.

    Well folks I figured it out. Under the page setup within Excel the print quality was assigned a too large of a dpi value. After reducing it the problem is solved. My charts are back. Hooray!!!

    Thanks to all for atleast viewing my post and thinking about my dilemma and questions.
