    Indexing formulas

    Morning everyone,
    I am having an issue with an index formula not working. Im pretty sure i have entered it right but its not pulling information from the other sheet. I have attached the workbook for you to see, maybe some on has some insight for me.

    you should be matching in d not e
    =INDEX(Sheet2!$A$2:$G$3000,MATCH($A11,Sheet2!$D$2:$D$3000,0),MATCH($B$7,Sheet2!$A$1:$G$1,0))
    in fact you are not doing that in the second one either the first match giving the row number must ref col D sheet 2 as thats where the invoice numbers are

    same thing applies col a values can only be found in col d sheet2

    I see it now ,,,the match names were not the same, i had to change the match name on sheet 2. Thanks again Martin, I assume
