formatting cells as hyperlinks

I imported a list of companies' data (Company name, address, phone, and the URL to their web site) as .csv and the Web URL is only listed as example - "www.abc.com". (becasuse that was the way it was listed on the document I imported.)

This, of course, does not highlight as a hyperlink because it is lacking the "http://"

How can I convert an entire column of www.somecompany.com to http://www.somecompany.com ? (I know I can convert them one at a time but that is a lot of work for 500 listings.)

If "www.abc.com" is in A1, enter the following formula then copy down.

sorry to be an idiot but what do you mean by "copy down"?

Copy down is to copy the formula and paste it in all the subsequent rows concerned.

Either you do a Ctrl + C, select all the destination cells & then do a Ctrl + V.

Alternatively, select the source cell & hover your mouse pointer to the right bottom of the cell. When you see a Plus (+) sign, left click your mouse and drag till the last desired row.
