Truncate last two char on non fixed length cell

I have one sheet with a bunch of DB sizes currently given in the format of size space GB (1,000 GB) but to use them in a few of the formulas I have I need just the number. How to do drop the part after the number and given this might be say 10GB, 100 ro 1,000. Also need to figure out how to drop the comma.

    Thanks,
    Bruce

    With
A1 containing a number followed by text...
    Examples:
    1000 GB
    1,000gb
    100MB

This formula returns the numeric portion of that text:

Using the above examples, that formula returns:
    1000
    1000
    100

Is that something you can work with?

That is awesome. Works perfect. Can't say I exactly understand what it's doing though.

Truncate blank spaces from all cells in a worksheet

I have to import an Excel list into a marketing automation tool and it does not allow for blank spaces in ANY cell. Is there a function that I can apply to the entire spreadsheet that will delete any non-character spaces?
