At my office we still use Excel 2000. Is there a way to change the default options (count, sum, average, date, etc...) on the Formula Paste Function pull down dialog box? Thanks for your help.

Not sure what you mean by default options
The Paste Function lists over 300 different possible functions.
On the left pane of the dialog box is listed a Function Category,
Most Recently Used
All
Financial
etc. etc.
On the Right Pane is listed the functions associated with the category.
On my system the Most Recently Used functions are listed as:
CELL
CONCATENATE
TEXT
ISBLANK
VLOOKUP
HYPERLINK
etc. etc.
I've never check to see how often these get updated.
Sorry for the confusion. When you click on the "Edit Formula" button (equal sign) then on the drop down menu left of the "Edit Formula" button these options come up:
SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE, DATE, etc..., with MORE FUNCTIONS @ the bottom.
My question is can this list: "SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE, DATE, etc..., with MORE FUNCTIONS" be edited. So that (as an example) CONVERT is listed at say the top of the list so I don't have to search for it each and everytime I need it? I hope this is more clearly stated. Thanks
My list appears to be the same as the Most Recently Used list from the Paste Function list.
I know of no way to modify this.
Sorry.
BUT if you type in =CONVERT and hit the equal sign, the =CONVERT wizard should appear.
