    Default comment font is BOLD

The default font in Comments is in BOLD font; even though I can affect other features of the DEFAULT font, like its size and whether it is in Italics [through Display; Appearance; ToolTip in Item], the BOLD appearance is unaffected by the switch for BOLD. Is there a remedy for this ?

    Hi,
Until farther and/or better solutions - try to run the following Macro (it can be adopted as an Event-Macro of any kind]:

Thank you for that reference - however, I had already been to tooltips - I mentioned that in my post. The BOLD switch there does NOT affect the 'bold' in Comments, although the BOLD switch in the Edit bar of the SS does. I don't want the author's name in Comments, but anything else I type there starts in BOLD. The suggested macro deals with font type and -size, not BOLDness.

Thank you for the macro - unlike the other macro this one does address BOLDness. I'm puzzled why other features such as AutoSize, HorizontalAlignment and VerticalAlignment are referenced as I want to change only BOLD to non-BOLD.
Can this macro be set to run automatucally everytime the SS is launched ?
For that matter, can it apply to any SS of mine that I open or any I create. If so, how ?

It would be simpler to alter your settings

Do you mean itis simpler to change BOLD to non-bold manually each time It irks me than to use a macro that launches along with Excel ?
