Unhappy Financial Statement numbers pull monthly to Output Sheet

Ok, so this probably will be a very easy solution for someone who already knows but I can't figure out how to search for it on google or on here!!! Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

So I have two or three worksheets that have financial information in colums by month and rows of accounts. Then I have one sheet that I named "output" that might equal things I want to use in another way. For example I want total cash.... so the simple way to do it is to enter =Financial!A1 or sum(Financial!A1:A34) or whatever cells I need it to include.... which will go to column A that has January's information. However, I have like a couple hundred rows of this on my "output" worksheet. Is there a formula or something I can do so that in February all I have to do is change one thing and it converts all my values in "output" to column B or February numbers??

I was thinking about even a cell that says the month on the "output" page that corrisponds to the month on the other sheets..... Hope this makes sense! Kinda hard to explain....

    Thanks everyone!!!

Sounds pretty simple. Click GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to post up your workbook. Make sure there is a clear example of the outputs for each month you are shooting for.

No one expects you to post actual data. Should take all of 5 minutes to dummy-out the real data for false data without disturbing the layout.

Or not. We're all volunteers, here.

Ok, so here is a SUPER simplified version (sorry I was having a blonde moment before!! LONG monday!!)

So where the yellow cell is that says JANUARY in the Output sheet, I would like to be able to type February in there and it changes all the numbers within the Output sheet to the Febuary numbers without having to actually go in and change the formula, even if Febuary isn't necessarily in the same column on each of the other sheets..... kind of like it looks for the word and uses that column..... hopefully that's possible....

Now just imagine about a hundred or so more lines in that Output sheet and that's what I got!!

Thanks so much for your help!!

A standard INDEX/MATCH will do this for you. Have a look.
