    Question [SOLVED] Vlookup Format

I am having issues with a VLookup. In the attached on sheet 1, I have a list of numbers; however, they are formatted a certain way and I need them to stay in this format. On sheet 2 I have the same lists of numbers, but they are formatted as numbers. I do not care how these end up formatted. I need to return the data in column B on sheet 2 to column B on sheet 1. I have tried changing the formatting on sheet 2 to make my VLookup work, but have been unsuccessful. This would be an easy fix if I could change the formatting on sheet 1, but I cannot do that for other reasons.

    Re: Vlookup Format

    Try:

    =VLOOKUP(A2+0,Sheet2!$A$1:$B$12,2,FALSE)

the +0 coerces your textual number to a numeric number...
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Perfect, this is solved. I would mark it solved, but I don't know how to.
