Excel will not show the # 0 on cell

    Hi all
I made a client information spreed sheet and have some work documents that = what ever is on that particular cell of the client information sheet such as Name, address, phone # and so forth. The thing is I have several single Number and letter cells and I can not get the number 0 to show, all letters and numbers from 1 to 9 are no problem but no # 0. I have tryed formating the cells, with,General,Number,Text,Custom with one 0 and still will not show the # 0 . I am using the letter O as a substitute for now.has anybody run into this problem before? Thanks Raner

Go to tools|options and in the View tab.. is the Zero Values checked? It should be.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    hey NBVC
Thanks for the comeback and yes I had the show the zero on cells that have zero value ticked off ,I ticked it back on and the zero showed up, But is there a way just to show the zero in particular cells only and not on the whole page, So when I print the document I don't print the zero on cell that have nothing entered on them.

    formatting custom:

0;-0;;@ will hide zeros on cells that you format with this code...

or you can incorporate an IF statement into formulas to return a blank instead of 0 if you have formulas in those cells...
