    Separate fonts in formula bar

I am having problems copying and pasting lines from a website in excel.

In each line there is the normal Ariel font and then there is one word in a different font (its in Punjabi).

There are two sites that I am copying and pasting from. From the first site, when I copied and pasted, the line in the formula bar would have both fonts displayed at the same time but it would show the Punjabi word as Ariel (the cell would also show the same). With the second site, when I copy and paste, the formula bar is all in Ariel but the cell shows the word in Punjabi (it also shows the name of the Punjabi font when you highlight it in the formula bar).

How can I change it so that the second set of lines shows up like the first with the Punjabi font showing in the formula bar?

    Hi GSingh

    Welcome to the forum

You would do best to post a sample workbook showing your Sheet Layout and perhaps Before and After examples.

It should clearly illustrate your problem and not contain any sensitive data.

    Cheers

How do I attach a file to a post?

To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.

On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.

To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

Re: Separate fonts in formula bar

OK I've attached a sample. There are two lines, the first line is from the group that is working and the second line is not working how I want it to.

In the first line if you look at the formula bar, the Punjabi font is also shown there. With the second line it isn't, it just says that the font is in Punjabi but still shows it in the normal font in the formula bar.

I'm not sure if this will work properly though as I'm guessing no one will have the font installed that I'm using.

You will need the font GurbaniAkharHeavy loaded in your machine for the second line to show as you wish.

They can be found by googling "Font GurbaniAkharHeavy"

To load in your version of windows see this link, remember any new file created will only be properly veiwable on machines with this font loaded.

I already have the font installed on my computer, I need it for another program I use, I've had it for ages so I don't think that can be the problem

My apologies I forgot to post this link
Install a new font on your computer

See, in particular, the last part "Working with new fonts in Office" > How?

Your file displays correctly on my machine.
