    Vlookup trouble

    I have a vlookup that works just fine as long as I have a result. However I am getting the N/A when my vlookup does not find a match. How can I tweak the formula to give me 0.00 as my result

    Re: Vlookup trouble

    =if(isna(vlookup()),0,vlookup())

    fill in the blanks with your vlookup...

    use the iserror function.

    example =if(iserror(vlookup(a1,data,2,false),"0.00",vlookup(a1,data,2,false))

    Re: Vlookup trouble

    You might not want to use quotes around the 0.00 (this makes it text) and instead use just 0 and then format the cell to number with 2 decimals..

    Also, using ISERROR may hide legitimate errors that you might want to look into..
