    Multiple users

    Hi,

I'm using Excel 2007 and when I tried to share a spreadsheet with more than 1 user I have data in cells misalign after saving. Here's what I mean.

I set up a file on the shared network drive called "Test file".

I then selected to share the workbook:

Review > changes > share workbook > editing > allow changes

I then saved the file and opened it on another machine. (It was open on two machines at once).

I entered data in column A on one machine and data in column B on the other.

When I went to save both the data from the machine I save on last shifts the data from the machine I saved on first down a number of rows. (Other than perhaps explaining myself poorly) What am I doing wrong?
    Regards,

    Re: Multiple users

David, shared workbooks has been fraught with problems since their inception. Shared workbooks produce unexpected results, get corrupted, lose data.

Avoid shared workbooks. Use a multi-user database instead.
