Can a list tab appear larger or be avoided

I have made some drop downs from data validation..selecting from a list, but I want to use the form on a touch screen and the drop down tab that appears next to the cell is always the same size even if I enlarge the screen view.

Is there a way to have the list appear when the cell is selected rather than having to select the cell then select the drop down tab then select from the list or if not can I make this drop down tab appear larger

    Thanks for any advice

You could use a combo box from either the Forms Tool box (recommended, no VBA required) or an Active-X combo box from the Controls Tool Box (requires VBA code). Both can be sized as needed.

If you dont see a "Developer" tab on the ribbon menu, which is where the controls are found, then you will have to set the Excel option to make it visible.

Click the Office button > then choose Excel Options in the lowr right corner
In the options dialog, click on "Popular" in the left pane, then in the right pane put a check in the box next to "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon".

    FYI . . .
When using the combo box from the Forms Controls, you will need to format the control after creating it. Right-click the control then choose "format".

Set the Input Range to the range of cells holding the list items.
You should also set a Cell Link which will hold an index number for whichever item is selected.
Reference the linked cell as applicable in your formulas.
