Multiplying measurements from the same cell

Hi everyone,

Hopefully a couple of nice easy ones for you all on a Friday.

1) Within a single cell I have a measurement - 150mm(w) x 300mm(h). I wish to multiply each one of these values by a different number eg 150x5 and 300x6.

How would I do this with a formula? - I am having trouble getting the formula to recognise the 150 and 300as individual numbers

2) Within another single cell I have another measurement 28x10. How do I multiply these two numbers together in a second cell without having to input them manually.
