Sumif two columns to get month-to-date and year-to-date

Hi All !

Required another formula that should sum the data in two columns against date.
For example,
A1 B1 C1
01-Mar-2010 3 3
02-Mar-2010 2 2
03-Mar-2010 5 2

I want to get the resultant value in new sheet. The data will go on till end of every month that for current month it will go for 31-Mar-2010 & I need to sum the month todate values of columns B1 & C1 in another sheet. As the month changes it should automatically works for new month which will be April. So need monthwise figures as well as formula should work for Year todate figures for same.
