    Fixing Part of a Formula

    Hi,

    Is it possible to fix part of a forumla when it is copied and pasted.

    i.e

    When it is copied from 1 row to the next the obvious happens

    =SUMPRODUCT(('Master File'!$D:$D=$A13)*('Master File'!$E:$E=$B12))

    =SUMPRODUCT(('Master File'!$D:$D=$A14)*('Master File'!$E:$E=$B13))

    is it possible to keep the first part locked down so

    =SUMPRODUCT(('Master File'!$D:$D=$A13)*('Master File'!$E:$E=$B12))

    =SUMPRODUCT(('Master File'!$D:$D=$A13)*('Master File'!$E:$E=$B13))

    Cheers,

    Hi,

    Yes just make the A13 reference absolute by prefacing the 13 with a $ sign.
    i.e =.......$A$13
