Need help on range count

Hi All,

Good to see so many Excel Gurus...

I have attached a screen shot where in one system whenever I select multiple coloumns, i am getting the counts a 3C (if i select 3 coloumns).

But in another system i am not getting that auto population, which is making problem whenever i put a vlookup.

Please some one guide me to resolve this issue.
