Manipulate data table below the pivot chart

    Hello,

I have a problem with the data table below a pivot chart, and i can't find an option to do what I want.
In the attachement of this post, you will find a pivot table and a pivot chart.

For this pivot chart, I displayed the data table associated. However what I would want is to add for each rows and each columns the total of values, in order to get a good graps of values presented.

Its the same concepts of what is present on the pivot table.

Any ideas on how to do this ?

    Many thanks for your help.

You could use a calculated Item.

Re: Manipulate data table below the pivot chart

Thanks Andy for your help, with your file and your help I did suceed in adding a calculated item in the pivot table and in displaying it in the data table

But, I tried to do the same thing for a total for each rows, but the result in the graph, is that this add another column, do you know if it would be possible to hide this column without hiding it in the data table ?
I'm doubting that this is possible I'm not an expert

    Thanks in advance.

    Nothing automatic.

Although you can select the individual parts of the series and remove fill colour.

How do you use the calculated field option as in your example spreadsheet, iam trying to do a similar thing, whenever i have used the calculate field option i have done through the pivottable tools - options - fields, items & sets selections.

When using this it shows whatever calculation i have as a value in the pivot table

however when i looked at your example sheet and clicked in the cell it was showing the formula? also i couldnt see where this was stored in the calculate field option?
is there a different way of using this function than off the tool bar?
